South Sea pearls come from the Pinctada maxima oyster, nature’s only living gem.
Clean waters are its lifeline, so protecting the ocean is ours. We invest deeply in research and care to preserve balance, biodiversity, and beauty.
Sustainability is not an afterthought, it's our foundation.
Our pearl farms, certified sustainable, stretch across some of the world’s most breathtaking coastlines — from Lombok, Sumbawa and West Java, to Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Together, these farms harvest more than 350,000 South Sea pearls each year, cultivating beauty while respecting nature’s balance.
Harvested by hand, each pearl is carefully selected at the source.
After harvest at our Sydney headquarters, natural light floods spacious viewing rooms, where skilled experts examine every gem with precision. Each pearl is graded by the AUTORE Five S’s™ — Shine, Surface, Shade, Shape, Size — ensuring that only the best selection enter our collections.

The daughter of Rosario Autore, a pioneer in the pearling industry, and Jane Autore, an award-winning jewellery designer, Ruby grew up immersed in the world of South Sea pearls.
After years working across luxury marketing, sales, and global expansion, in 2020 she had a new idea to give pearls a younger narrative. Her goal was simple — to create jewellery that honours heritage, yet feels fresh, wearable, and part of everyday style.
The result is AUTORE MODA — a brand that takes the depth and heritage of South Sea pearls to modern pieces for women who want beauty, versatility, and authenticity in their jewellery.
